I heard that Santa was really generous over the holidays and several students received very cool gifts!
I know that a few people now have iPods and iPads....super exciting!!!!
If you are looking to download a few apps to help your child in the classroom, here are a couple I recommend......
Dragon - this app allows students to record their answers with the device and the app turns the spoken word into text.
Students do need to have access to wifi for this to work. It is a FREE app!
Calculator Pro - this is a calculator (iPads don't already have one like iPods) and it is FREE too!
The BEST thing about the iPods and iPads are that they themselves (without installing a whole bunch of apps) are fantastic. Over the next few weeks, we will look at helping students use them effectively, and efficiently in class. For example, students will learn how to have notes read to them.
